My Book!!

One opportunity that the blog has brought me is the co-authoring of a guidebook, Paddling Southern Maine! It is something in which I take a lot of pride! My writing partner, Sandy Moore, and I have created a book with 54 amazing trips that are within about an hour of Portland! Our motto as we wrote the book was wanting to 'get people to spend the day on the water and not in their cars!'

Merry Christmas

Hoping all of you have a wonderful Christmas with loved ones... 

I will be with my dad, stepmom, and stepsister... with Gladys of course... 
We will have a nice holiday, but Christmas is always hard...

My mom loved Christmas ... the music, the lights, and family... This is my ninth Christmas without her, since cancer took her from us...  She was an amazing person and I miss her every day.  Since losing her some Christmasses have been easier than others.... I work hard to get and be in the holiday spirit to honor her  and her love of the holiday.  
I know I am not alone in having loved ones who are missed... wishing all of you a Merry Christmas and for those who struggle a bit during this time of year... a little extra love heading your way!
